The second public beta release of OpenOffice.org 3.0 is now ready for testing. This beta release is made available to allow a broad user base to test and evaluate the next major version of OpenOffice.org, but is not recommended for production use at this stage. OpenOffice.org 2.4.1

The latest version of the leading open source office productivity suite. OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 includes a security fix, minor enhancements, and bug fixes to all its core components. OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 is available for immediate download and the new features are described in the release notes.

OOoCon 2008: Beijing

The OpenOffice.org Community Conference, OOoCon, will take place 5-7 November in Beijing. The event, which promises to be as enjoyable as it will be important, will mark the first time OOoCon has taken place outside of Europe, and for this we thank the primary host, Redflag 2000 and the Chinese and East Asian OpenOffice.org community.

Community Innovation Program

On 7 December 2007, Sun Microsystems announced a $1 M USD fund to foster innovation and community in six open-source projects it sponsors and contributes to. OpenOffice.org was included. We invite the Community to participate.
